Two lives. One wardrobe.

By day you are exacting, professional, legible to everyone. By night you are darker and unconfined. We design for the transition between the two.

02

Under the radar.

Minimal from across a room. Layered details up close. Every piece carries multiple interpretations, and only the person standing next to you gets the second one.

03

Luxury, redacted.

Not quiet luxury. Quiet luxury is safe, predictable. This is about choosing what you reveal, and to whom.

House codes

Four themes. No exceptions.

Everything we make passes through four codes. If it fails one, it does not ship.

01

Anonymity

No face on the label. No explaining. What began as a limitation became the most deliberate choice in the brand.

02

Duality

Every piece reads two ways. A polo that is corporate swag for a race that never happened. A pant that is athletic wearing tailored.

03

Subversion

The language of corporate life, clearance levels, internal memos, severance letters, put somewhere it was never meant to go.

04

Control

Power is best expressed in discretion. You decide what is seen, and by whom.

Craftsmanship

Built like the brief.

Clean, versatile pieces that feel substantial in the hand. Subtle from across the room. Impossible to ignore up close.

The founder

Lived, not invented.

“I made the duality into a sport.”Matt Woodruff, founder

Matt Woodruff wanted to be a film director. He ended up running a 200-person tech company at One World Trade. Private Sector is what happened in between.

At nineteen he was promoting Chicago's biggest clubs. Fifteen years in advertising followed, building global campaigns for brands you know. By day, the boardroom. By night, he disappeared.

He got good at both performances. Eventually he stopped wanting to choose. He built Private Sector the way he had built everything else: in private. The partners he saw every day did not know it existed.
